At Newrybar Public School education begins with the curiosity of our learners. In and outside of the classroom, we place the responsibility for learning on the students and often encourage them to arrive at an understanding of concepts by themselves. Our students are supported in developing their abilities to be independent self-managers who make wise decisions. We encourage our students to ask good questions, determine what needs to be learned and what resources are required to answer those questions. Our students collaborate and share their learning with others. We also actively explore our environment and investigate new possibilities. We make connections with our learning to grow ideas and to think creatively. These tools for learning play a large part in our Inquiry Based Learning journeys.
